please read Ephesians 4.

we have a lot going on at cotrbc. as we put off falsehood, speak truth more and more. press our livs into worship, using our words to edifiy others and continue to build the church of God in bridge city. we must always be careful that we not give the devil and opportunity in our lives. This can come by us not doing one of things that is mentioned in this passage. so we need to continue to every day focus our lives on being obedient and not give the devil a chance to even get his foot in the door of our lives.

so this morning please go through this passage and make note of the things we need in our lives. and ask God to give you wisdom and insight to keep the devil from getting even a small foothold in your life.



also please pray for our kid's rock on april 25 and for our building fund.

fasting and prayer

fasting and prayer should be apart of our lives as Christians. to put it in what i would call a carnal way, fasting turbo charges our prayer lives. that's not the best illustration, but it seems to be somewhat true. Jesus told us that there were demons that didn't just come out because the disciples commanded them to in the name of Jesus. He said those kind only come out through prayer and fasting. There are tough things we face in life, answers to prayers that we desperately want. Wouldn't it make sense to (please forgive me for using what i feel is a overly carnal metaphor) "turbo charge your prayer life? The truth is there is strength added to us and our prayer life when we fast.
